QUALITY CUP AT A GOOD PRICEDec 26, 2008
By Joseph D. Briggs I practice tae kwon do and spar twice a week. A good cup was a must have. I tried several other brands before I found this one. Its very comfortable, fits great and does its job well. I've been hit several times and discomfort is minimal. The only thing I might suggest to the makers to remove the label on the back. Its kind of large and can be scratchy. However, if you have something under the cup its not bad at all. Very well designed piece of equipment. I couldn't have asked for a better experience; ordering, pricing, and delivery were exceptional. Will definately be purchasing more in the future.

Comfortable and secureNov 17, 2010
By Mac User The Shock Doctor cup is both comfortable, true to size and secure. I am 6'5" with a 34" waist and went with a medium size cup. Seemingly tight at first, I'm glad I did this as it stays firmly in place and I have not had any problems with movement while grappling. Additionally, the rubber trim makes it painless against the groin when bearing weight.

Compared...Nov 17, 2010
By The Scoop... Compared to the last cup I had, one from Target, this is like putting your "equipment" in a Cadillac. Fits well and is very comfortable while offering enough protection to stop most anything but a bullet.

Great for MMA training!Oct 23, 2011

I've been using this cup for a couple of months and it's been great! It's easy to wash the strap since the cup can easily be pulled out and it's definitely kept me safe. I've been struck (accidentally) in the groin multiple times while doing drills and sparring for MMA classes and it didn't hurt at all any of the times.
I will say that it causes my underwear to ride up a bit and it's quite secure, but I think that's probably standard with any cup/strap set. If it was loose and comfortable then it wouldn't protect you very well! I don't think it's excessively tight either.
EDIT (11/17/2011): I recently picked up some active fit underwear and it's a lot more comfortable now to wear this cup. Maybe that's obvious but I had never played team sports in school so I wasn't aware that you needed to wear active fit underwear under a cup.
