Ideal Band Workout for beginner to intermediateSep 13, 2008
By PG The room in my house where I wanted to "pump rubber" has a VHS so I was a bit limited in choice for band work outs on video. This particular video was a lucky shot. It's the perfect length (1/2 hour) and ideal fitness level for me which is somewhere in between beginner and intermediate. I like the fact that the exercises aren't complicated and it can be adjusted to your personal fitness level depending on the band you use. (I bought a set of three bands from Walmart.)
It's a little on the homemade video production side but the instructor is good (it's not the girl on the box cover) and the price is right (new from Amazon Marketplace @ about $2.00 + s/h (it was $6.99 + s/h when I bought it).
There's a stretching warm up without the bands, the band exercises and then a short floor cool down without the bands. It addresses all the major muscle groups and you're all done in about 30 minutes. I would suggest this video for anyone who wants to add a little toning/strengthening to their cardio (walk or aerobic) routine.
