5Very Pleased !!! Tool for a happier marriage.Jun 17, 2010
By E.Schrod
Originally, I hung a tennis ball from a garage ceiling rope and positioned it exactly where my wife should stop the car upon contact with her windshield. She continued driving through the ball, bumping my lawn mower. I mentioned my frustration to my neighbor and he gifted me the Emerson flashing parking signal. I was sceptical at first, but it really works great, and my wife stops the car without plowing through the signal and hitting my mower. I've read the other reviews about some people saying the signal tips over. I'm a computer nerd and love to read assembly instructions. The base of the emerson signal has four swing-out stability feet that create an 'X' footprint. I can only imagine that people having stability issues are not making use of the four swing-out stability feet. The boxed instructions show a drawing of what the base should look like after assembly. Assembly is a snap. I had it out of the box and working in 15 minutes.
My wife rolled her eyes upon seeing the parking signal for the first time, but she hasn't bumped my lawn mower since. I think she secretly likes it. I know that my mower is happy !!!

1Not quite what they seem.Dec 12, 2009
By Gregory A. Cotta
These items are not quite what they seem. The idea is good, but there is a major design flaw; the base is too light and when the bumper of your car touches them, they bow backward with the springing action, then fall over. I try to approach them very, very slow, but they still fall over much of the time. I bought two, one of them doesn't flash. I'm not impressed, wouldn't recommend them.

5LED Stop SignFeb 26, 2010
By A. Sherman
When I first set it up in the garage, I wasn't sure it would work that well. Now after a month of usage, both my wife and I think it's great. Pull in, nudge the sign and lights go on! Its fast and efficient.

5Garage Parking HelperDec 10, 2010
By rmad
I have a 2011 Toyota Van. A wide van inserted into a tight one car garage. I bought this cute little item to measure the front end perfectly for not squashing containers stored in garage while at the same time giving me space past a wall stud for opening my driver door giving the needed extra distance for getting comfortably out of my van. Gosh, the suffering we must endure, hey? Keep It Simple Stupid - KISS.

And it is the best, dumbest, handiest little product I have purchased in a long long while that I probably should have just made my own with a block of wood and an old fishing pole. I don't even use the top piece - the cute little stop sign part. If I had children, then I would. Nevertheless, just the plastic stick poking up in the air... touch it and you're parked.

4Cheap, but it worksNov 18, 2010
By C. Chow
Cheap construction, light base as others have mentioned, but for me it does the job perfectly. I have the device resting against the wall (the whole point is to prevent nailing the wall), so the base doesn't move around at all.
