When the box arrived at my door right away I was impressed at how large it was. This is nothing like the cheap volleyball/badmitten/horseshoe combo sets you can buy in a store and all the pieces fit in a tiny bag. This thing is solid and well made. This thing is built to last and stand up to some hard use.
The things I like about this set are:
* Comes WITH ball and ball pump.
* Comes WITH a large nylon bag to store the thing in when not in use.
* Has durable metal ground stakes that the the poles fit over, so you aren't making huge holes in the yard.
* The poles themselves are very sturdy thick aluminum, I'd say 2 inches in diameter if not more.
* Comes with guide ropes that are very sturdy yellow braided nylon.
* The net appears very well made, unlike some of the tangled thin messes you get in a cheaper set.
* The net has 3 adjustable heights 7 feet, 7' 4" and 8".
* There is also a feature with the net so you can keep track of score
* There is of course an instruction guide, which includes official rules to the game.
The ball itself is pretty nice it's got kind of a "cushy" feel to it. Much better than the uber hard ones that make red marks on your arms. In school when I played volleyball most of the balls were much better quality than the one included here, but really - the one they included is a fine alternative. Unless you are really taking your volleyball seriously, this ball will be fine. And if you do take your volleyball seriously, then you'd already HAVE a better model to use.
This set is going to be good for jr/sr. high school age kids, college students, or drunk relatives at family reunions. It seems so much sturdier than many sets on the market. I think if someone stumbles into the net it's not going to break anything, which is all you really can ask for when getting a volleyball set.

I came across this item when searching for a volleyball net on Amazon. I noticed it had nothing but great reviews from customers who were part of the Amazon Vine program. Hey, Amazon, sign me up for this program! I want to try free stuff too!
Upon inspection, there is no hand held pump for the volleyball. So, be prepared to go to the sports supplies store! Another thing, when setting up the net for the perimeter of the game play area, it would help if you had some type of measuring device. Once we got the net up, we used the box that the set came in to generalize a playing field area. The poles are of ok strength. Keep in mind, this set is meant to be portable, so do not expect high strength steel. The poles will get the job done well and last a long time if cared for properly. The volleyball came deflated so a ball pump is necessary. Once inflated, the ball is 3.5/5 on firmness. I did not have too many complains of sore forearms, only from the novice players.
I had two other individuals to help me assemble the net. Total time from opening of box to game play took about 30 minutes. Once you become familiar with the setup/tear down of the set, it will be much easier. Directions (included) are pretty straight forward. The most difficulty came when I had to anchor down the two poles. If you want a very tight and fortified net, you will have to use a great amount of force to anchor down the poles. Make sure the floor stakes are angled away from the net.
Once set up, we were able to play six games with only one accident in which a player ran through the anchor rope, ripping out the floor stake and collapsing the net. Aside from that, the net can take much abuse from spikes and low serves.
A great net for the money. My friends wanted to order the same one but this net has been sold out for a while now.

The volleyball set has superb quality. We set it up as soon as it came from the shipper, and played several hours. It is sturdy, measures accurately the net height, and it's simple to set up.

While you can use this set for a backyard game of Volleyball, this set is designed for so much more. Adjustable for regulation Men's or Women's play, this set can be used for higher level play than just a simple backyard match. The provided ball is of solid quality. Most sets don't provide a decent ball if one at all so points for completeness are granted to this outfit.
The only minor drawback I noted was that the spikes for the pole ends are rather short. Granted the poles are also supported by the guide wires but a little more depth would have lended a little more support. This is a minor issue and should not cause anyone to not pick up this great and complete outfit.

I brought this out to the local park to set it up and had a ball playing with some friends. Setup was easy and only took a few minutes since I read the instructions beforehand. The whole set is pretty lightweight when carried in the included bag which is nice. All of the parts are of very good quality, no cheap stuff here. This is a full size set so you'll need a bit of room for setup. For this price, this looks to be a great buy.
